Founders Jorge Todero and Jay Gooding began their journey with a simple yet profound vision—a tennis coaching philosophy providing parents with a high standard of tennis programming for their children.

Jorge Todero

Jorge Todero
Born in Argentina, Jorge Todero has earned more than 40 years of professional tennis coaching experience.   After a career playing professional tennis, Jorge entered his professional tennis coaching role around the age of 30.   He later went on to open Mastelli Todero Tennis Academy in Buenos Aires, Argentina, coaching such players as Martin Jaite, ranked number 10 and Alberto Manchini, ranked number 8 in the world.Â
From 1990-1996, Jorge was Captain of the Argentinian Fed Cup Team which included Tennis Hall of Famer, Gabriella Sabatini.  He also captained the Argentinian women’s tennis team at the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games.
Other players coached by Jorge include Adriana Serra Zanetti, who reached highest ranking of 38, Patricia Tarabini, ranked 29 and Mercedes Paz, ranked 28.
In 1997-2000, the renown Colombian company, Colsanitas, brought Jorge onboard as Director of Tennis in Bogota, Colombia, where he had the pleasure of coaching WTA player Fabiola Zuluaga, ranked number 16. During his time developing Colombian tennis players, Jorge spearheaded the creation of a men’s program. This new program saw to the development of some young Colombian juniors Robert Farah, Alejandro Falla and Sebastian Cabal, all familiar ATP players today.
After leaving Colombia, Jorge returned to the United States where he continued in the private sector coaching WTA player, Meghann Shaughnessy from 2004-2005. Meghann reached her highest ranking of 11. Â
In 2006-2007, Jorge became Director of High Performance at the Midtown Athletic Club in Weston, Florida.
It was in 2010 when Jorge was hired as a Lead National Coach with USTA Player Development. Working out of the USTA Billy Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, NY, Jorge and Jay saw their players reach some of their highest WTA rankings: Christina McHale, 24; Melanie Oudin, 34, Varvara Lepchenko, 19.
After many long winters, Jorge requested to be transferred back to sunny Florida and continued as Lead National Coach at the USTA training center in Boca Raton and then eventually in Orlando. His success with player results continued this time with Lauren Davis and Irina Falconi.
In 2019, Jorge retired from the USTA and started working with former Canadian player Eugenie Bouchard.
Currently, Jorge is coaching WTA player, Caroline Dolehide.
Rafa Rosas

Rafa Rosas
As Director of Tennis at Gooding Todero Academy, Coach Rafael Rosas leads the team with over 15 years of coaching experience under his belt. Originally from Venezuela, Coch Rafa holds a degree in law and is PTR-certified, with a specialty in coaching youth 10 & under, youth 11-17 years of age, and Adult player development. Throughout his career, Coach Rafa has trained numerous high-performance athletes, most recently playing a key role in helping top American junior Jon Gamble earn his first ATP point. Coach Rafa is dedicated to advancing competitive tennis through personalized coaching and leadership. GTA is very fortunate to have a dedicated team member and leader with Coach Rafa. His hard work and commitment to all the GTA players’ development are palpable. Outside of tennis, Coach Rafa enjoys playing golf as a way to stay active and unwind.

Coach Nico was a former top junior for his home country of Peru competing on the ITF Junior Tour and eventually on the Men’s ITF Pro Tour reaching # 13 in Peru. His experience competing internationally as well as on the COSAT tour (South American Tour) has been of great value to the young talent training at GTA. Coach Nico brings a level of dedication and respect to the high standard of coaching delivered daily at GTA. His commitment to seeing the kids improve is palpable and his smile is contagious.
Jessica Bradu

Jessica Bradu
It comes full circle for Coach Jessica Bradu who held the position of Head of Tennis at the GTA courts when it was formerly run as the Human Performance Institute. Before her 11 years with HPI, Jess was the Assistant Coach for UCF’s Women’s Tennis Team. GTA players are not only fortunate to be under Coach Jess’ guidance from her coaching experience but also from her 12 years competing on the WTA Tour. Coach Jess held a WTA ranking as high as 193 in singles and 198 in doubles. She was also ranked #1 in Mexico and was a member of Mexico’s Fed Cup team for 10 years.
